The ink flowed, freely covering the chair casters, at the MT this morning as the fiercest battle of this war ensued. Measures were taken to prop up and secure the propaganda efforts in both warring capitals. Supply lines were threatened as the yesterday stories were feverishly patched. These measures were conducted with all available speed and no consideration for the expense of this tactical semantic exercise was considered. Markets around the world wavered critically on every official word coming from these over stressed apologists.

At a watering hole I sat with one of these wounded who was just oiled enough to be less than closed mouthed about this critical struggle. He was visually shaken and only after his second double did he confide to this reporter his deepest fears. His eyes narrowed and his face grew pale as he relayed these few terse words to me.

"Bob, the world hangs in the balance. We have bet the farm on this. If we now lose this war, we have officially won so handily the whole balance of fear will change.
