Qumran Bet, Who Are We? What Are We and Where Are We?
The physical Qumran Bet was born in 1992. Yeri & YahChannah purchased the property, which became the farm and retreat it is today.
Over the years many have come to Qumran Bet for a refreshing from the day to day problems and pressures mankind faces.
The beauty of our location, the serenity that may be found here has enabled some to return to their homes stronger and more able to continue in the struggle to remain faithful to YHWH in the midst of an ever, increasing barrage of paganism from all sides.
In the summer of 1997, the cyber Qumran Bet was born. We have tried over the years to be Torah faithful and have been blessed by YHWH, as He has taught us, we have grown. We have left all our history (except what was lost in the traumatic crash of the site) available to any who wish to come here and read. We have done this because it is very important to realize and remember that we are, in fact, on a journey just as was Avraham and just as he knew not where he was going, so do we not know where the Father will lead us. We do know that He is consistent and while we may come to new understandings, they will not differ from the principles laid down in Torah.
We see Torah as relevant to the lives of 21st century man to the same degree it was relevant, when first given on the mountain.
All who are truly dedicated to learning the truth, the will of the Father and are willing to put that learning into action are welcome at both the physical and cyber Qumran Bet. We, however, ascribe to the principle of separation from those who wish to and seek to be in enmity and rebellion toward the Most High. It is not possible to maintain 'sacred ground' if it allowed to be trampled by those who have rejected obedience to YHWH's will.
Today, Yeri & YahChannah are quite a bit older than when Qumran Bet was born but the level of dedication and determination to be servants of YHWH has not diminished over the years. It has, rather, grown stronger. We pray that before these two grow too feeble to continue, that YHWH will send others to fill in the gaps.
